whale gusher urchin manual bilge pump

just bought a boat that has a whale urchin manual bilge pump to pump waste from a gravity fed holding tank under the toilet, up to a larger holding tank under the fwd bunk. pump appears to be new, concerned about the suitibility of this pump for this purpose. using odorlos or ko, head has no odors so far. thanks david

If it ain't broke...

If the pump moves the waste from the portapotty tank to the larger tank with no problems, the pump is suitable for the intended use.

Just rebuilt a Whale Galley Gusher Pump ...

after 18 yrs of light service ... but the repair kit is still available at West ... so that should tell you something about Whale. Vic
