Penetrol. Just have to wipe it off before you splash. Works for me on a blue hull. Nebo

Maine Sail....new lettering and wax

Adding one step to the process of making the hull beautiful, I have removed and purchased new all of the thru hull fittings above water line. Also, I am replacing the stripes and names on the boat with vinyl. At what point in the compounding / polishing / waxing process do you recommend putting these on? I figured it would be after the compounding, then just go over the lettering lightly. Also, putting the thru hulls on at that time. Thanks Greg

You are correct..

Put the stripes on and bed the thru-hulls before waxing but still wipe down the areas with denatured alcohol prior to installing the stripes and lettering then wax by hand and you're done. If you have done everything correctly wiping the hull with denatured alcohol, where the stripes are, will not change the shine of the hull..
