First time as a member on this board but have owned "CASAL" a 1980 9.2A hull #294 since 1995. The issue I have is with the oil cooler (part #11199) as in, the thing would seem to be in need of being replaced. A yacht company in Portland has one for $80 but it is a different model :cry: and not the one I need. Having spoke to a few people they have said that I might get by without it, in that I sail the cold waters of Maine. A new one is around $800 bucks. My question(s) is, has anyone disconnected or know of anyone who has disconnected their oil cooler from a W30 engine without damaging the engine? Anyone know of a dealer who sells them for less than a tenth the price of a new engine! Found a picture of one that I need.
