I changed all the fuel filters before splash 3 weeks ago. Had fuel tank out and cleaned it while installing fuel gauge new fuel lines. I have ran the engine 3 hours sens splash with no trouble till Sunday afternoon. I was motoring back to slip when engine quit I restarted and it ran 30 sec and cutoff. I Checked the fuel filter no water no trash. Next i checked fuel return with key on had a nice flow of fuel approximately 3 to 5 PSI . Then took a fuel line off to a injector was dry turned engine over no fuel. Engine only has 260 hours on it so i don't think its the injection pump.
I will be digging deeper this weekend . Any and all ideas on this problem will be greatly appreciated . Lee

I had a very similair problem with my Westerbeke 10 two. I essentailly did the same tests as you and found fuel was not getting to injectors.

I have a mechanic who is supposed to look at it sometime (call was put in two weeks ago).

What was the outcome for you?

Did you have to buy an injector pump? If so, how much did it run you.

Good luck and thanks.

Lee, If my memory serves me, the 10two used a 2 micron filter. This is a VERY fine filter and it will clog with fine grit.. If you just did tank cleaning and new lines, I would replace filter first. May have been some residual grit. With such a fine filter membrane, you probably will not be able to see what's clogging it. Second check would be to remove the injectors to see if they've gotten clogged. Take to a diesel shop to have checked. Tony
