I am helping a friend take a Cabo Rico 38 from Kentucky Lake to Charlotte Harbor down the Tenn Tom in early November. He has not motored or sailed the boat very much since he got it and does not know the hourly fuel consumption at 2,700 to 2,800 RPM at cruise. He has 105 gallons of fuel. Does anyone know the apoximate hourly consumption? Thanks

I use 1/2 gal per hour
For my Westerbeke W30 in my 32 Oday cruising at 6 knots and that gives me a rough idea of about how much fuel to add to the tank and I been checking this with the not so acurate fuel guage but its close enough. I would guess that the W50 is close to this GPH

We're leaving Kentucky Lake on the 28th of October, down the Tenn-Tom to Mobile then to Charlotte Harbor. By the time we get down the Tenn Tom, we'll know the range well, but we wanted some idea before leaving. Thanks to both of you.

At the rate of 1 quart per 4 hp I should be using 2.5 gals per hour. I use more like 1 gal per hour with a Westerbeke 50.

I have a Westerbeke 44B Four
I have a Westerbeke 44B Four and burn roughly .6 gal per hour at cruise which for me is 2200 rpm's. At 2700-2800 I'd think you could be burning as much as .8 - 1 gal per hour.
