I am putting a SS bushing into the bottom of the fiberglass CB pendant tube on my O'Day.
Here is the link explaining why: http://forums.oday.sailboatowners.com/showthread.php?t=170828

It will be underwater and the adhesive only serves to hold the bushing in place.

The OD surface of the bushing will be knurled for better adhesive grip.

I have both, does it matter whether I use the 610 epoxy or 3M 5200?

If only being used as an adhesive, I would suggest 4200 or boatlife. Will be plenty strong enough and allow you to remove more easily in the future if there is ever a need...

epoxy and 5200 are pretty much permanent solutions. If all it is doing is holding the thing in place (ie no actual loading of the adhesive) then just about anything will do that sticks to both surfaces and will set up underwater.
