I have looked everywhere and I can not find the weight of my furling main mast. I have a Selden 46' high mast, any guess as to Its weight. I want to buy a strap to help with lifting and taking down. Is it 1,000 or more.

Your mast has a serial number near the bottom. Write it down and call up Selden in Charleston. I am sure they will give you the weight and anything else you want to know about the mast. 843-760-6278

We have a 53' mast and its weight when lifted onto the boat was 1500#. If you extrapolate that data to your mast it would be approximately 1300#.
Yes I am the scale on the crane read 1500#. That was completely rigged with all the halyards and WITH a radar attachment.
