Dear Owner My boat is weeping water about one foot above the water line below the starboard chains. I do not know if there is a metal mat laid in the hull at this point that maybe part of the problem. I do know water or something is weeping out of small spider cracks from this location. Could someone clarify how the boat is constructed. Does anyone know how to fix this problem if there is a solution. Thank you.

Francis, this sounds like the type of problem that a marine surveyor should be brought in on. Hull integrity isn't something you want to be speculating about. The only thing I can think of that might result in the type of "weeping" you describe is if the hull was crushed at some point and then repaired incorrectly. (Assuming we're talking about a Hunter here, and not a ferro-cement boat.)
