Is it possible that, if you keep your centreboard down all the time, weed and other marine growth will accumulate on the centreboard and hence you can only pull it partially into the centreboard housing? I don't know how snug a fit it will be when raised. Don't forget, to get the boat back onto its trailer you will need to raise it!!

Raise it up every week or so

Pull the board up once a week or so to scrape off interfering growth before it gets well established. Fair winds...Tom

Currently my CB is out and on the work bench .

I can tell you it would take one heck of a growth to stop the CB from raising up. Also the fit side-to-side in the keel slot is not close enough to scrape any weeds off. If weed growth is that great you will need to either scrape it off to raise the boat and pressure wash. Then a good bottom paint would be in order. Ray S/V Speedy

My h26 is in saltwater all the time. At haulout time, usually after about two years, there is little growth in the CB slot. David King "Molly"
