Thanks for the tip, Dave. Another resource to piss the Admiral off taking away time from doing odd jobs around the house this winter/spring.

I'm going to check it out. I'm not a salty dawg yet but I hope to be some day when I grow up.
Hahaha - I have a friend that has a hat - on the front it says "Retired" - on the back it says "Stop asking me to do things!" I want one...
The Salty Dawgs is a good group.
Funny story how I joined them - I was looking to join, went through the whole process of registering but when I got to the payment part - I balked. I thought, naw, I don't need to pay this and figured that was the end of it. Well, it turns out, since I'd done the whole registration process, just not paid, I somehow got onto their email distribution list. So I got to watch what they all talk about, what's going on, and such, for a time.
Then I got an email asking for volunteers at the Annapolis Boat show - volunteering you'd get free admission to the show so I responded saying - yeah - sign me up! So I get all the details of how to be a volunteer, get my free pass and I go to the Salty Dawg booth at the show. I'm there with the president and we are just chatting about sailing and all that. He asks after a bit - "So, how long have you been a Salty Dawg member?" Well, I'm not one to lie, so I told him the whole story from above. He was like, that's not how this is supposed to work - you are supposed to be a member to get to be here.... (Hey, nothing in the email said "must be a member in good standing" - I didn't say this, just thought it)... So after doing the time slot of volunteering at the booth, and meeting a ton of really cool sailors that are Salty Dawgs (among others coming to the booth), I felt I should become a member. That was quite some time ago and as they say, the rest is history - I've been a member ever since and I'll stay a member until I can't sail anymore. It really is a good group.
