Weaver Davits

Have seen a few threads where folks speak of weaver David installations on sailboats but have yet to see anyone who posts that they actually had them installed. Purchased a dinghy at the boat show this weekend and would like to know if anyone has tried a weaver installation on a Hunter 36-like stern.

I have 07 H-36 and the 2 photo's are kind of far but I will look
for more and also have snap davits for sale,I now have Ocean Davits.
I used a 10' dinghy what size dinghy do you have.

I have the weavers on my 29.5. I finally gave up on them. They worked fine on my old dink that was smaller and lighter than on my new 10.5 foot 110 lbs Rib. The pads won't stay glued on and the worst part is when the boat heels the dink drags in the water. This of course contributes to the pads pulling off. After glueing them 5 times at $50.00 a throw for glue I quit and just drag the dinghy behind the boat.

8'6". How long is the dinghy in the photos?

My dink in photo is 10' and I got the $50 glue from defender
and did not have problem with pads coming off and my dink was hapolin
sanded the dink and pads before gluing.

I picked up a set of the Weaver hard dingy davits at the Pompano Beach Marine Flea market last weekend for $10.

They came with these mounts

instead of the transom mounts like these:

I want to put the dinghy below on the back of my hunter 31, Do you think it will work with the mounts I got? Or will I need to buy the Transom mounts?
