I have (finally) been able to remove the hatch in the cockpit floor on my Hunter 30. It was leaking and was locked down bu=y some hard caulking. I would like to make this a removable hatch with some form of latch(s)accessable from below. My question is does anyone have any idea of good weatherstripping that does not 'glue' the hatch down and does anyone have any suggestions as to latches for this? The lip is about 1" wide but only 1/2" off the cockpit floor so it could very easily be below water in rain or rough sailing> Thank you
