The weatherstrip between the plexiglass sliding hatch and the pop top seahood is worn and needs to be replaced. In the pictures I have removed the old weatherstrip. I would appreciate it if someone could direct me to where I can purchase new weatherstip. I have not found a site for purchasing directly from Hunter Marine for genuine replacement parts. Or do you have other solutions. The gap between the plexiglass and the hood is not consistent.

You might have more luck over on the "smaller boat" forum where 26/260 owners might chime in. I own a 260 and i'm pretty sure that there isn't a standard weather strip of any type on the outside of the lid. The wooden stop inside the lid serves to stop the lids rearward motion and creates a dam that diverts water to the troughs on each side.

Took a wave over the bow and drenched the interior with a waterfall of saltwater drainage from the overwhelmed drain rails even with the lid shut so some form of weather proofing might save you a major cleanup......and a chewing out by the Admiral for pushing too hard.

Most 26/260 owners use a canvas cover that covers the whole lid and sliding section down to the step at the companion way to permanently solve the incessant leakiness at the lid. See pic.

Have a great season, Mike

Thanks. I was beginning to think that the weatherstip might have been an add-on. I have removed and cleaned up the wooden stop and will return it with some chaulking. The screws attaching the weatherstrip were too long and were protruding through to damage the wooden stop. I do have a cover, but have been reluctant to leave it on. Perhaps I should.
