Hunter 49 Sydney
I am looking for any Hunter 49 Owners who has used there yacht considerably. By this I mean in the order of 2000 Genset hrs, 3000 Engine Hrs and 25-30,000 nm.

Mine is 2008 version and I would like to compare notes and few things.

Specifically Ficher Panda
Assuming yours is chewing through exhaust water mixers, what have you done to try and stop it.

Main Engine,
Apparent corrosive activity, mixer elbow scheduled removal and replacement, oil pressure sender, low RPM stumbling.

Interior creaks groans and hull flexing.
The companion way bulk head is moving port and starboard across the floor in the order of 1/8 of and when broadside onto a swell. This starts with a swell of about 1/2 a meter or more. This action is of course flexing everything in this line, so the after toilet etc and the same on the othersider. I was asked an interesting question by the original deal, he asked me had the pan come lose ( ie the shell inside the hull) on which everything is ultimately built. I could not find out how to check this, but Hunter denied this had ever happened. It would certainly explain things.

My Hunter was bought new and she has been well sailed and looked after. Other than the late Mike Harker whom I was fortunate enough to sail with. I know of no other 49 which has been used to this extent. Sadly the new owner of Mikes boat seems to be ignoring me. Perhaps he doesn't want "her" to know about Mikes passing.
