The material that was fiberglassed under the port seat in the cockpit area has turned loose. Now when it is sat on or stood on, to go foward toward the bow, it fills solf like it may break through.
I think I'd scrape and chemically clean the area on bottom side of seat, then add additional layers of heavy fiberglass beneath and well beyond the soft areas. Probably a messy job, but since its beneath the seat, it won't show after you're all done. RK
I have it supported from the underside now so I can Sail my Catalina 22. I plan to try a fix for the problem this winter. It sounds like your fix may work. Thanks for the reply. Sonny
