We went out sailing this weekend. Headed to one of our local spots on Saturday sailing in a steady 20 with gusts to 25+. We even took a gust of 34 apparent. We sailed with a single reef in the main and our staysail. The boat handled the weather beautifully. Very solid and assuring. It was a little chilly but with the enclosed bimini and the two side curtains open we were very comfortable.

BTW, we have some transient sailors this week that just sailed their OC54 from Norway across the northern route(Shetland Is, Iceland, Greenland, Canada, Maine). They said the worst sailing conditions they experienced were within 10 miles of Portland.

Really like that boat Tim. I often admired the one on my dock when we were in North Carolina. Really just a stretched version of mine. Well except for the bow sprit, the full keel, the roomy interior, the big cockpit, the walk-through transom, the big aft cabin, and the fit and finish. Pretty much the same otherwise.

I was hoping to get on a 35 LRC at the show, but they only brought the big gun 47. It was beautiful! Looks like if I want to see one in the flesh I will have to go to Beaufort NC.

Tim, That's a stunning boat. Congrats. We did close to 3 years living aboard an Island Packet 38 a short time ago. The boats are close cousins and can do anything you ask of them.
I must say that I envy your youth and choice of boats. The captains chair at the helm is an item I wished we would have had. Enjoy every minute you are aboard and figure out how to make more of that time available from here on out.
