I am an agent for a major insurance Company and sell boat insurance in PA. My advise is check with several companies, and as others have said, the best deal is not always the lowest cost. Find an agent who sails, or understands boating. Where your boat is principaly used is the basis for coverage, along with age, value, and your experience. That is why two persons with the same value boat, will have different premium costs. Many policies are also restricted as to where you may travel, without added costs, if you are coastal cruisers, be sure that your policy will provide coverage for your trips. John K
