I did a rebuild on my WC Headmate and realized that I'm not sure which way the inlet flap valve goes. One of the flaps is only rubber, and the other is rubber with a thin layer of plastic over it. One seals the SW coming in to the pump, the other seals going to the bowl. It's not obvious from the parts schematic which goes where.

Unfortunately I took the old one apart previously and didn't notice then.

I'm thinking I did it backwards, because when I flip the lever to pump dry pushing down on the pump is difficult, like the valve sending water to the bowl isn't being held open like it should (the valve on the SW inlet side should be held closed).

I can always take it apart and flip it over, but it would be good to know which is correct.

Also, should I put a little SuperLube on those flapper valves?
