Found a nice one, a bit dirty, in one of the boats
Cleaned up terminals, but now the question: who do I take it to so it can be checked?
There is a sticker to state it is a Bosch product, but when I phoned them, they said they do not have a service/technical supprt in Houston, or anywhere else for that matter
Who can I go to?
a plumber?
Any idea?

What tank are you heating

I think you mean "tankless water heater" not "waterless tank heater." You mentioned terminals, is this an electric model? You chould be able to check it out with a multi-meter if so.
assuming 120 volt AC you just need to know the wattage to calculate the expected resistance. V=IR and P=IV so R=(V/(P/V)) or R=V^2/P or Resistance= 110*110/(watts from unit plackard). If you measure it and get a close value you should be OK. Alternatly you can calculate the expected power or current draw by measuring the actual resistance.
Alternately, alternatly you could just run some hose from the house faucet, temp wire a plug to it and see what happens. Probably want to put it on something burn proof.
