I know I have seen the answer to this here before but as we get older we forget some of the important stuff.... After running the engine for a while there is an accumulation of water under the engine. There is a clear plastic tube that comes from the engine and I believe that it is coming from there and it is doing what it is supposed to do, but looking for that to be reinforced. Also, has anyone done anything to mimize it or pipe it directly to bilge. Thanks for the help.

drains heat exchanger

the clear hose drains your heat exchanger...if indeed it is leaking there is a valve at the top of it..make sure it is closed tight...i would suspect that the water is coming from your stuffing box..start your engine tied up at the dock..put it in gear and see how much the box is leaking..should only be a few drops per minute..if more tighten it.....schaefer

From the stuffing box

I agree with Schaefer that it may be splash from the stuffing box washing into the basin below the engine. For more on the stuffing box leaks, see the excellent (if conflicting) answers to my posting "stuffing box" about 20 items below this one.
