Read Pete Grahams's description of the work he did on his boat. Very impressive. Pete - where did you put the water and holding tanks? I put a 13 gallon bladder from Wes Marine below the sink and this works but a solid tank would be better. What has anyone found thatthey reccommend?

Lots of water

I purchased my 95 H26 used and it already had a big water bladder in the v-berth storage compartment. It holds 25 gallons. I usually don't fill it completely because I really don't need 200 pounds up front most of the time. However, I keep 10-15 gallons in it. Also, my boat had a pressure system to the galley sink also installed. The pump is in the v-berth compartment near the bladder and clear plastic tube goes through the starboard settees storage areas up to the sink. It is a pressure demand system that pumps when you open the faucet. The faucet is knob/dial type and the delivery spout is about 3/8 diameter and about 8 inches long and sort of crane necks up and then points down. Works great and is a real convenience. I hate pumping the one in the head (that also leaks when pumped). Ned Christensen Second Wind

Location, Location, Location

Pat, I installed the 13 gallon bladder in my H26 in the V-berth and ran the plastic line made for water systems to an in-line filter, then back both sites under the settee – for the galley and head sinks. I put a filler tube up the starboard side of the v-berth, and fitted a filler assembly on the deck. Doing that would give you back the much needed storage space under the sink. A three week cruise last Summer with 4 people with the 13 gallons in the bladder and 4 gallons of drinking water in jugs. Only filled once during the trip. (Was warm enough to swim occasionally – so our smell wasn’t an issue. I thought about the idea of the electric pump – but was concerned about making it easier to use more water. May do so when I have to replace the faucets.

water tank

The rear storage compartment behind the aft berth is the perfect place for a solid water tank. You will need to remove the panel by unscrewing the 4-5 screws and pulling it out. You will have to make a shelf and fiberglasse it to the hull. done it several times. Make sure to ventilate or leave all hatches open when fiberglassing Happy sailing
