I have 2 water tanks on my Catalina 34 Mk II. What is the procedure for using them. Should both tanks be flowing at the same time or do I use the tanks alternately? hank you....Gary

It really doesn't matter - I use mine on how it affects listing. If your boat is level with both tanks full, draw down both at once and she should remain level, otherwise, use the "low" tank first.

Gary, @dmax has a good point about sailing the boat and boat balance.

On cruising you might look at water preservation. Keeping one tank sealed and available should you run out of Tank 1 or Tank 1 becomes contaminated (Sea Water intrusion). Using one tank would let you know the rate of consumption - 4 days 57 gallons... We need to find land in another 4 days or we might want to limit the fresh water showers untill we are in sight of land and a marina with water.
