I just purchased a 1978 Morgan OI and I filled the water tank up that is located under the V-Berth and it seemed to work fine. Then I took her out 3 days later and tried to get some water and the tank was dry. I looked in the bilge and there was all the fresh water that I had put in the tank 3 days prior. How is this possible? Is there a drain somewhere in this tank? Clueless.

The question is "where is the leak"

As far as going up the mast, use at least two halyards, always have a backup, ALWAYS. Good luck. Tom s/v GAIA

Oi33 leak-water tank

!st look for a leak inm the line. If the tank is leaking there will prob be a puddle in the storage area under the vberth. If there is no puddle then there is a leak in the line. Suspect where it connects with hose clamps 1st as this will deteriorate the line. You are able to pull the plywood off the vberth-8-10 small screws. Once the cover is off the entire tank is visible. The leak should be quite evident. You can patch with epoxy putty successfully.
