HI, all. '88 H285 owner here. A weird thing happened on Sunday that has never happened to me before. I was doing my "spring comissioning" of my water tank (bleach water, let it sit, then rinse with Vinegar then fill with water) thing and, after running out all of the white vinegar rinse, I could only put like 2 gallons of fresh water in the tank before it would overflow! I'd put a few gallons in, then run to the cabin and run the water faucets, then run back and re-fill...took me like 3 huors to finally get rid of this "Air Bubble" and finally be able to fill my tank all the way. Anyone else ever heard of this or had this happen?

The fix...

When you winterized last fall, you should have left all the faucets open after you added the anti-freeze, to bleed the air out of the plumbing. This spring, leave 'em all open again while you fill the tank at least 1/3 full...turn on the pump and wait till water flows freely out of all of 'em. Don't turn on the pump just to drain the antifreeze...that'll just put air back into the lines. Wait till you have enough water in the tank to fill up and the plumbing and let it run till it quits spitting. If you didn't leave the faucets open for the winter, you can still bleed all the air out if you put enough water in the tank to open ALL the faucets and let the water run till they all stop spitting air.
