water tank in H30

I have learned several things about the water tank in my '91 H 30. First, when I filled it yesterday, it was not full when the first water came up the fill tube...kina like when you pump gas in your tank at the service station and the tank isn't really full. The tank took another 5 gallons after the first water came out. Thing two was that a full tank puts some water on the cockpit sole. I think it from the tube. the water is forward near the cutout for the tranducers. Any idea why the wter? it is just a little and goes away as water is used.

Inspection port

I put a 4"D Beckson inspection port in the top of the fresh water tank on my '89 H30. A simple job (I was able to cut the plastic tank with a utility knife) and now I can see what's going on inside the tank, and clean it out when necessary.
