The previous owner of my new to me Hunter 33 (1982)appears to have updated the boat with a new water pump and new plumbing connections in the starboard cockpit locker. The result is functional, however the layout is very complex and difficult to trouble shoot. As I am in the process of installing a new water, I would prefer to restore the water pump and plumbing connections to the original configuration as much as possible. Can anyone provide an explanation of the original layout of the water pump, etc that would have resided in the starboard cockpit locker. A picture would be ideal. Thanks, Don Robinson "Windborne"

From the owners manual

I've got the manual home with me. Here's how the plumbing originally ran. From the water tank, a line runs down the starboard side of the boat to the pump. From the pump the outlet side 'Y's twice, at the first Y it heads across the boat, up the port side to the galley. The other branch of the Y continues forward to a second Y. From the second Y one branch leads back to the head sink. The other branch continues to the hot water heater. From the hotwater heater outlet, the line branches, with one branch going to the galley, the other to the head. From what I've heard, most of the hot water tanks have rusted out. If your's is missing, you possibly have some left behind hot water lines confusing things. I do have a couple photos of my water pump well. However, I don't have a water heater at this time, all that plumbing was removed by a previous owner, so the photo might not help much. Hope the rest of this helps.
