Have two tanks on vessel the tank 1 operates fine. Tank #2 sputters at sink and water pump doesn't seem to want to fill at the spectacle glass (see pic) and keeps running as well there now appears to be a white sediment collecting.

I can't unscrew that clear cap to open and clean the mesh filter. Any advice to eliminate or bleed off pressure on it, or maybe it just really stuck. So smooth I cant get a grip.

Really stuck. It should unscrew, CCW probably. How about an oil filter wrench to spread the force evenly around it?

Aluminum tank (chlorine causes corrosion that looks like that)? Do you pre-filter? That is really a lot of gook; you need to figure out wear it came from.

Yeah, that's a lot of debris and you should try to do something about that, but I suspect that your sputtering is a secondary issue of air getting sucked into the supply line from a leak someplace. It looks like even with the debris there there's still plenty of filter exposed, and the sputtering and lack of pressure sounds like problems others have had with air in the lines. The air bubble at the top of the filter is consistent with that too.

Stupid question but I assume tank 2 has been filled" I know someone who thought the one fill opening would fill both tanks

Fully plugged filter screen, rip it open, break it if necessary and replace, those Jabsco filters are not expensive. As Thinwater suggests, you look to have a tank or aluminum fitting corrosion problem underway. Get an eye on your entire water system back to the tank.

Thanks for all the suggestions, Both water tanks are plastic..... used oils wrench to unscrew the cap. The debris was soft and there was some black the appeared like algae. I drained both tanks, bleached for two days, flushed again, then baking soda flushed. Refilled and all is good. Cheers!
