Have you checked out the price of a replacement water pump, not sea water but fresh water (with coolant)? Over $300.00 due in part to it having an aluminum housing, not cast iron like a tradtional tractor pump.
I found a direct replacement Kubota aftermarket pump for $72.00 that is made for the following Kubota tractor B1550, B1750, B2150, B5200, B6200, B7200. There is no Kubota reference for a Z600 block, as indicated on the M18 dipstick. The only difference I can see between the original pump and this replacement is the housing is cast iron. If painted like the engine block, also cast iron, would there be any percieved negative outcomes?
We are in fresh water, so electrolosis should be minimal especailly since paired to a cast iron bock.
