Besides the water pressure problem, I just discovered after running the engine that the water in the tank is not getting hot. Engine temp was 180 degrees, but the hot water tank was cold. Could these two problems be related ?

Water Heater

Check your return hose coming from the water heater to make sure it is warm. If it is cold, then anti-freeze is not fully circulating between engine and water heater. You could have a pinched hose, an air gap which might release if you slowly and carefully open the cap or even possibly a themostat issue. Greg W. De Pere

The tank or the water

The tank is insulated so it may take a while to change temp. Mine does not get even warm to the touch. Check the hot water faucet (not trying to sound dump but I've had my share of "sir, you have to plug the washer into the AC outlet to get it to work" moments) Have you purged the fresh water system of air.

If the HW heater line is not purged of air

then the engine will overheat. Least THIS engine will, I know. Check your coolant level. Burp the freshwater line to the heater by removing the hose from the bottom of the thermostat housing and filling it with water via a funnel. Check the hoses and the heater. How old's the heater?
