Compression post leak
I had my 35.5's mast down this past winter. The mast lights wiring, VHF coax, & wind instrument cable have connectors inside the mast base above the cabin top for ease of disconnecting the wires when unstepping the mast. The "boat side" of these wires pass up through a hole in the deck (inside the mast base and tabernacle and therefore hidden). My guess is that water is running down the inside of the mast and entering the boat by this hole, which should be caulked. However, it is a tricky place to caulk because water can run between the wires and the caulking needs to be applied with this in mind. Naturally, to accomplish this the mast must be unstepped. A possible easier soultion is to remove the access plate inside the cabin at the top of the compression post under the coach roof exposing the wires and where they pass through to the deck. You could try, with a thin tipped applicator, forcing caulking up into the hole where the wires exit the boat. With proper application and a little luck it could solve your problem. I would use an "above/below the water" caulk like 3-M 4200 or 3-M silicone caulk (NOT 5200!!)Good luck.
