Water leak :(

I have this odd leak water slowly seems to fill the bow. Note this is a very slow leak and takes a long time to fill up. In or out of the water. The cause is this i think.The rub rail or bumper seal is gone and water gets into the boat.If thats the problem should i take it off all around the boat or shouild i just reseal it the old calking is missing here and there.

other things to look at

before doing all this, the first place I would look at is the anchor locker particulay the drain. There is a white thru hull in the bottom and that may have broken the seal or cracked over time. However, I would be more prone to look at the hose that is connected to make sure it is tight. You can access this by removing the forward panel inside the V berth.Remove the panel and have someone hose the front of the boat down to see if this is the problem source and then start hosing all fittings topside in the bow area. money on the hose!

I would bet money its the hose...I had the same leak and couldn't pin point the source until I removed the hose from the underpart of the anchor locker and found a dry rot crack on the far side. I replaced it and have not had an issue since.Briankickin' back
