I just purchased a 2006 Catalina 309 in great condition. My only problem is water that is entering the cabin from the port side near the chainplates. The easy answer to the issue would be a leak coming from there but it does't seem to be. The water is traveling from somewhere else. Is this common issue with this boat? Any help would be appreciated.

I only say that because I was getting a leak back in the pilot berth where the shelf kind of ends into the side of the hull.
It was coming from the windows, then the genoa track and finally from the stanchion plates. It took 2 years for me to do all of them and finally the leaking stopped...
