there is a long list of fixes in the old article files. I resealed the Swim ladder and that worked for awhile I did notice when I have a folling sea in our case I have to be in reverse just after a large boat comes by then My rear compartment get water in it I am going to seal the hatch with weatherstriping and look for a nother folling sea.
My boat is usually on a mooring but near the end of last season the marina put me in a slip for about 2 weeks prior to being hauled for the Winter. A wind storm stirred up the water and waves were splashing up over lower half of stern. Water worked its way under the covers and into that compartment (this is on a 336). I would assume a choppy following sea would give same results.
I also had this leak on my 29.5. I removed and remounted the swim ladder. I also noticed that water would also get in around the hinges of the locker doors. My 29.5 was a constant challenge to find and repair leaks!!. Good Luck
yup, it took 2 years , two trips to the yard, the last one hunter picked up the tab for resealing the stern hull deck joint(2thousand bucks) when all along it was the ladder bolts that were not sealed well and caused the leak.
