water in the stern storage

hey owners of 29.5, is there anyone that solve the problem of water in the stern storage compartment, is comming from the joint under the rub rail or screws of the ladder? i want to fix this once and for all! eric

Swim Ladder

I removed and re-sealed ladder screws. No more leak. (I did not have propane locker so it was easy to get access to hardware.)

I too, have a 29.5 with the same problem. May or may not be the swimplatform fasteners leaking. You will, however, find a host of responses that may be helpful...

swim platform ladder bolts

to prove this, squirt the sealant 'creaping crack cure' from boat us on the ladder bolts, be generous. the leak will stop. this will last for season. when you have the chance rebed these bolts. I had hunter pay twice to remove the rub rail, reseal the hull deck joint,and replace(it cost hunter thousands from the yard)..the water kept coming.I resealed the ladder bolts, and THE LEAK STOPPED.This was 5 yrs ago. rob
