This has probably been posted many times before but here goes. I have recently started to accumulate water in the bow of my H26. I've heard about water seeping in through the anchor locker and having to reseat all bow hardware. I also have my depth and speed connections mounted in the hull in the bow. Any other things for me to look at??? Paul

Yes there a number of things to check

I) Make sure that the drain hose for the anchor locker is secure at both ends. 2) Check that the fresh water filler hose is secure at both ends. 3) Check the breather pipe thru hull and if the hose is secure at both ends. Once you have dismissed these then think about the thru deck fittings for in my opinion none of the bow fittings are thru hull. As a matter of interest when my 260 was "brand new" whenever I filled the water tank I ended up with water in the bow. I found that there had been a hole drilled thru the filler hose during construction. Hunter were fantastic as always and replaced faulty parts. By the way many people have dismantled a motor only to find they were out of gas :) Check the easy bits first!

Transducer seal

I had the exact same problem... the water was coming in from around the transducer. The seal material used weakens over time. Once we pulled the transducer and properly sealed it fixed the problem.
