Water in the boat!

We sail a Beneteau 352 in Lake Michigan. Pounding waves and 17-20 knot winds, we discovered a good amount of water in the v-berth. I think it might have been from our forward water tank. It was filled the day before. I closed the only thru-hull in the forward part of the boat. Might this have been caused the water tank? Any suggestions of where else to look?

P.S. I drained s third of the tank yesterday and today, we still had some water, but significantly less.

Is your anchor locker drain clogged up and flooding the locker?

I had the same problem several times and finally realized that the water was coming from the tank, as the top of the tank was wet. It only happens when tank is full and you hit choppy or rough seas. It's leaks at the inspection port.
