I have a hold in my cuddy is is suppose to be their you look in it and it has a lot of water in it almost to the top is this just ballast or do i have a leak and should i get the water out also for winter storage do i get water out ! thank you!
The water should be pumped out of your bilge...In the winter if it freezes and expands there could be damage. Buy one of those cheap hand pumps at a marine supply store. Obviously, I can't tell if you have a leak. Check any through hull fittings and the lower rudder hinge. There is a good chance that the water is coming in through leaks at the toe rail or windows..you can reseal these with Lifecaulk. Good Luck!
