Water in Engine compartment

The shaft seal is fine, and the engine compartment is dry. However, when it rains I always get water. I had close to a gallon after a 1 inch rain. Can't find where it is coming from, although I also get some water in the bilge when it rains. (27')Thanks for any help you can give.Keith Kugler

Try this

Sprinkle some builder's chalk (the blue stuff used to snap off straight lines) on the hatch cover and see where it spills down. That at least should trace the origin of the leak, and wash up easily.
