We just purchased a 311/2000 and we have found small amount of water and salt crystals in the V-Berth storage space. We dry it out and it is back the next day. We are talking about maybe a tablespoon or so of water, but don't want any. Need to find out where the water is coming from. Jane

I found that i was getting water in this area from a cracked fitting that attached to the drain tube from the anchor locker. Took awhile to locate. Under sail water leaked when i hauled over.

That must have been hard to find and even more difficult to replace. Can you get at that from the v-berth?

taste the water to be sure if it comes from above or below. I had multiple leaks from above that took me a number of months to find: thru deck cable clamps, U bolt for babystay, hatch hinge, window seals on opening ports get dirty, shroud deck plate, transome shower head. And from below I had gally sink hose fall apart at the thru hull. good luck!

To add to the list of possibilities you could add, too much water in the fresh water tank. It leaks out the main access past the o-ring as well as the level gauge.

Not sure whether this should be a new thread but has anyone tried draining this compartment to the bilge?
