I recently mixed up the send and return lines going to my Seaward Products 6 gallon hot water heater. One hose comes off of the Fresh Water Pump, the other off of the base of the Thermostat Housing. On the water heater there are no markings as to inlet or outlet. I would assume that the inlet should be the lower connection. Does anyone know the proper sequence of connections. Does it really matter as hot water is just circulated through a loop? The boat is an 89 Catalina 30 with the standard Seaward tank, installed next to the fuel tank under the quarter berth. I had to replace both lines yesterday as they were both badly frayed, as well as the diesel return line.
