Water heater replacement

I need to remove and install a new water heater. I have 1978 Hunter 30'. Is there anyone who has done this and could you provide me with a procedure of the best way to do it.Thanks

saws all

mine came out very easily with a saws all. and from what i have heard others have done _ that seems the best method. I installed (2) new heaters 2.5 gal each, (1) under the galley sink and (1) in the vee berth for service of the head and shower.

What's wrong with it?

Unless the tank has rusted out, you prob'ly don't need to replace the whole thing, just some parts.
