Water freezing in US Spar furling mast

For the first time last winter, we winterized our boat with the mast up. In the Spring I noted a slight buldge at the base of the mast. I noted then that it was filled with waterand there were no drainage holes. Questions: has anyone experienced that before? Can the buldge be fixed?

US Spar

I have a US Spar (formerly Z Spar) in-mast system that has been left up for most of the last 12 winter. Never had a problem like you are describing. Thanks, I got a reply from US Spar (Rick) who said it has happenned in the past but it is a rare event. He requested pictures and measurements to assess damage. I will do so this weekend. Response from US Spar was prompt end helpful so far.
