Water fill hose leak

Hello! Upon filling my water tank after the winter on the hard, I noticed a leak in the water fill line. It's an ~1 inch "slice" in the 6 foot plastic corrugated hose. It's not a huge deal, as it's above the level of the tank, but it leaks while filling. I taped it for a temporary repair, but want to solve it better.

One end of the hose is easy to manage, with 2 hose clamps. But the other goes up into space I can't see and can't access, and must connect to the deck fill plate. I'm hesitant to remove the fill plate, as I don't know how it's secured and bedded. Is this easy? Or is there a way to permanently patch the hose?

Thanks in advance!
Anthony

Yes, it is easy to fix. Cut the hose from anywhere along the hose. Remove the 3 screws holding the deck fill fixture. Remove the clamps and remove the hose. Estimate the length of the hose, buy the right hose for it. Clean the top surface and the deck fill flange. Reclamp the new hose to the deck fill, apply 3M 4200 white and reinsert the deck fill and install the screws. Trim the water tank end of the hose to the right length and install and test.

3M 4200 is a good option. You can also use Bed-It Butyl tape (this works great because you have fasteners to hold the deck fill flange in place) or 291 SikaFlex.

Ease of doing this depends upon how difficult it is to access the underside of the deck fill and the connection to the tank. In theory it's easy. In practice - it depends...

I saw this on a Beneteau site.

I know there is a difference between 4200 and 4000 but if I were doing that I would be using Bed It.
If you have any Bed-It butyl tape this would be a good application. The SBO store will be selling later this year. However, do not use butyl tape on a fuel fitting as any spilled fuel will dissolve the butyl tape.

You can attempt to lift the deck fill to remove the hose but I'll bet you can't get the hose clamps thru the deck cut-out hole. I had the same problem when I wanted to replace my hose. My access was through the head. I removed the medicine cabinet and could see the hose, but I couldn't reach the clamps (there will be 2). I was scratching my head until @Ward H told me there was more to remove ... all the cabinetry. It wasn't difficult once I found all the screw heads. I'll bet yours is accessible once you find out what you need to remove just below the deck fill.
