Water dripping through bimini at ends of the traveller

We have a 356 and the bimini has a gap each side where the traveller ends. In the rain, water comes through those gaps. It's not a big deal but it is annoying. Has anyone come up with a clever way of keeping the water that channels down the traveller from coming through the bimini?

No I have not but our canvas makers did. I will send pics after I get to the boat this afternoon.

This pic shows the underside of the traveller on the starboard side. The line is for the main traveller. The panel is Sunbrella and has snaps on the arch and zippered to both the bimini and transition panels.

I removed the panel and here you are looking at the upper side that faces the arch. There is a 3 sided rigid cloth tray that captures the rain and redirects it over the side. The zippered part obviously helps out doing that.
I admit it is somewhat difficult to see without being here in person. But the idea is to capture the water under the arch in the tray on the horizontal part of the panel and redirect it over the side over the remain part of the zippered panel.
I am sure that is clear as mud.

We had a simple solution designed with our canvas maker. It is a piece of canvas that covers the top off the arch and goes around the mainsheet. it is removed to sail, but keeps the cockpit dry when you are not sailing.

I am thinking of making something similar for our 466, but with velcro and not incorporating the hole for the line.

Thanks for the solutions and pictures. Right now we’re on the hard and shrink wrapped but next spring I’ll definitely be getting something like these done. Maybe I’ll try my first DIY canvas project!
