Water cooling pump for AB Fridge

The little salt water water cooling pump for my AB Refridge unit died last year on my '98 H376. I rarely used it, only on hottest days. It's an expensive bugger. Do I really need it in S. Cal? I can't see spending $200+ if ambient rarely tops 85 degrees.

Ya don't need one if you have an air cooled condenser as well as the water cooled one..and the fan is working properly. many are one or the other and not both.
