Have zero experience with water ballast. But using "Search" and your name as "Author" you should find prior posts. Problem is that names have changed over the years. And you need something in the key box, something generic that would be in all the posts.

Yep, that works. Used 'and' as search argument and 'Mark H' and found forty posts.

Mark H,
Hover on Forums in the menu bar. At the bottom of the list you will see "Your Control Panel". Select it and then select "Your Profile" followed by "Statistics". You'll see a listing of all your posts.

Not sure what you want to discuss. Water ballasted boats are generally trailer-able, and usually class C sailboats. This means coastal and sheltered waters. Keep a weather eye and don't go crossing oceans. Other then the larger swells associated with the ocean, salt water sailing is no different than fresh if you keep class C in mind.

In other words, use the boat the way it was designed to be used.

I have sailed by H-26 water ballasted boat for about 8 years in a variety of conditions, often in salt water. We have sailed for up to a month at a time in protected waters, and have trailered the boat up to 1,200 miles without problems. Salt water has not been a problem, and if anything, it aides the boat as it is more dense than fresh water, weighs more per gallon, and thus provides additional righting moment to the boat. Just be ready to reef early in anticipation of strong winds. Strong winds have not been a problem, as I have encountered up to 42 kts. on Lake Tahoe and 30+ kts. on San Francisco Bay. Under reefed main and jib, the boat has handled very well.

I'm a fresh water sailor too but go to Texas coast (Rockport) every fall for a month. If you don't have bottom paint on you will pick up varmits on the bottom. However they are not hard to scrape and power wash off. Great sailing, plenty of steady winds. I go in the fall off season to miss the tourists etc but have to watch for the hurricanes. Got run out two year ago. By the way fishing is great too.
