Hey Guys, Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping at West Marine. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you. Here's how the scam works: Two seriously good-looking 19-year-old girls(one named Stephanie, one named Kelli) come over to your car as you are packing your shopping items into the trunk. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy West Marine 4000 Offshore Sailing Automatic/Manual Inflatable PFD With Harness. It is impossible not to look. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say "No" and instead ask you for a ride to Boaters World. You agree and they both climb in the passenger seat, one sitting on the other's lap. On the way, they start kissing each other ... Then one of them turns to you to perform the nasty with you, while the other one steals your wallet. I had my wallet stolen March 11th, 13th, twice on the 15th, on the 17th, 20th, April 3rd, 7th, 16th, two times just yesterday, and very likely again this upcoming weekend as soon as I can buy some more wallets. Just a friendly warning. :) Sorry, just could not help it after the terrible week I have had(Brian too). I needed the release, and I got it here. Thanks Phil.

Alan, the terrible week was no joke.

Thanks for putting up with me anyway. Mom-in-law just left and I am going to get in the hot tub and have a mimosa or 30 with the Admiral. Have a good weekend everyone. Hopefully lots of splashing around the country.

Interesting that there

hasn't been any party poopers to this post, maybe cause it has something to do with boating ;)

Seen It Before...but

Just in case it is true, I have been visiting all the garage sales in my area. I have a glove compartment full of wallets and always put one in my pocket when I visit West Marine, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. ;-)

Not fair

Hi this is Kelli. Not fair giving away our secrets Bob. You got your money's worth. You were just upset and wanted a refund because it only took one minute and 22 seconds.

I'll be the spoiler

So your a big enough low life to think your going to get a freebee in the parking lot of a West Marine Store by two 'hot chicks' in broad day light. Then you winnie about how you got ripped off and then go home to soak in the tub with your wife. The only down side I see to wishing you got an STD was that you would of eventually gave it to your unsuspecting wife. Either your a weasel who couldn't get his letter published by Penthouse of just a pathetic piece of holding tank debris. You and your supposed story have undermined the integrity of sailors and this forum. Where is Phil when you need him... This is the reason you don't want an uncensored forum on this site Phil!

Where are the spelling and grammer police when we

need them? :{

Wrong and short sighted!

Ross the sentence stated; where is Phil when you need him? Him being one, not them. While grammar binds us as civilized people, I'm sure most would agree that the context of both bob (intentionally lower case) and my comments convey both of our moral stances. The important thing here is the context of the messages. Do you not agree? From my perspective, I am curious what your read is on bob's situation.

JJ .........................

.............. get a sense of humour. Capt'n Bob's comments were presented in jest as part of a way to make this forum as funny, informative, and interesting as it is. If you "REALLY" look closely, I think you'll find it's not actually a page out of Bob's life. I think we would all be better served if you kept your comments right where they were hatched and don't bother sharing. My humble apologies to the rest of you funny, informative and interesting contributors for this rant. Best regards, s/v Island Hunter

Captain Bob's Joke was Old

when the Romans were driving chariots around. You may not think it's very funny, but I hardly think it undermines the integrity of sailors and this forum. I think Ross may have been referring to your repeated failure to use an apostrophe in the contraction "You're" as oppossed to the possessive "your". As for spelling he was probably looking for the missing "h" and "y" in whinny - an interesting word choice; I'm not sure if whine might not have been better. Finally "that you would of eventually gave it to your unsuspecting wife". Quite aside from the sentiment,"would have eventually given" is better.

This is first and foremost a sailing forum?

After reading the post again I see that this was in fact a poor attempt at what some would call humor. I might be wrong but i believe this suppose to be a sailing forum. There clearly plenty of other sites and blogs out there for this kind of 'humor'(i.e., immorality, adultery, etc.) I just happen to find this inappropriate for this site.

Before I get Chastized by Ross

'i' should have been capitalized, Sorry Ross. My final rant on this blog will be that this forum acts as a portal for others whom may not appreciate bob's attempt at humor. I log on to this site to gain insight about my boat and sailing.

Call Out the Spelling and Grammar Police ....

........ once again. First line - no comma after the word "again". Second line - may is preferable to the word "might". Second line - "i" not capitalized. Second line - the word "is" is omitted after "believe". Second line - "d" is omitted in the word "suppose". Third line - the word "are" is omitted after "There". Fourth line - the word "humor" should be enclosed in quotation marks rather than apostrophes. If grammar binds us as civilized people, someone here is coming unglued. I'm going sailing. Best regards, Island Hunter
