I am installing a new holding tank to compliment a Wilcox-Crittendon head. The head currently pumps overboard. I would like to have to option to flush to the tank or overboard, and to pump out through the deck or overboad. Is there a "standard" schematic including valves/diverters/anti-siphon for this configuration. I would also be interested in the max. lengths for each section of the diagram. Thanks, Mike

Check West Marine Catalog for schematic!

Mike: Check the West Marine catalog for a general schematic for what you want to do. It is up to you but they have a suggestion for a "legal" head, which always goes to the tank and then multiple discharge points (deck or overboard). I'll divert to Peggy the hose run lengths.

Also try Raritan.

If your PC can open Acrobat(.PDF) files then the Raritan manuals have excellent pictures for installation. Try the Link below then select "Owner's Manual."

In my esperience, "one size fits all" schematics

seldom actually fit one situation, much less all. However, they are a jumping-off place to give you an idea of where the parts go. I also suggest you read the articles in the Head Mistressforum Reference Library--on the right side of the forum home page. Once you have a pretty good grasp of what you want to accomplish, I'll be glad to help you get the specifics right. Max distance--that is, total hose length, including twists and turns--from the head to the holding tank is 10'...the more turns, ups, downs, etc, the shorter the distance. The ideal distance is 6' or less.
