Waste Holding System Upgrade

I have a Morgan 321 that still has the original bladder - instead of a tank - waste holding system. I want to upgrade the system. But, I'm not sure locating a new tank in the under V-berth compartment currently occupied by the bladder would be the best location. Mainly, I don't think there is enough room to add the additional plumbing and still maintain at least 20 gal. / 75 L capacity.
I would appreciate info from anyone who has dealt with this issue or who is familiar with an M 32 that has had a waste system upgrade.

20 gallons isn't all that big in dimensions. I have a bladder type in my boat also, used to have 2 but one had a split. Doesn't seem to give off odor as far as I can tell and it's easy to empty and plumb. I just replaced all the hoses and it works fine. Next is the drain hoses from the sinks. And the breather hoses. I need to find out if the clear pvc hose is ok for the sink drain since it goes down to the keel and then back up a maybe a foot. Westmarine has tanks that are 1/4 inch thick but Peggy recommends 3/8.

All boats have very different designs so it is hard to say that they have something that will fit. Sometimes you need to build an access door and glass in a shelf to secure the tank to, but if you have a 20 gal. bladder, you probably have room for a 20 gal. tank and a little bigger will be a little better.

The v-berth is the ideal location for a waste tank...

And if you can't find a tank that'll fit there that's at least 20 gallons, you're not trying...'cuz Ronco Plastics not only makes TOP quality thickwalled (at least 3/8") rotomolded tanks for a VERY reasonable price, bu has more than 400 shapes and sizes, over 100 of which are non-rectangular. And they install fittings in the sizes and locations specified by the customer when they make the tank.

So spend some time reading the discussions in the Head Mistress forum about holding tanks and how to install 'em to prevent holding tank odor...and I'll also be glad to help you spec it all out.
