Has anyone installed a Washdown Pump on their boat? We are on a can and it would really be nice to use a hose and nozzle instead of lifting buckets of water all the time to clean her up. Where do you install it, how does it work, etc. etc. Thanks. S/V Never Say Never

Go to West Marine 2000 Cat. pg. 423. Unless you can install a dedicated thru-hull, Tee off of head intake (for example) for supply. Wire it up, and there you go.

...let us know what specific boat you're working on, and chances are someone's already done the project. for example, I tee'd my washdown pump into the forward head of an h410, but if you own a one-head boat that doesn't happen to have a head right behind the anchor locker, my experience won't help you.
